trail run in the Tetons

i love the tetons. i also love stormy weather. BUT i do not like climbing in stormy weather so i decided to go for a fatty trail run up to lake solitude. the 10 mile trail up went smoothly, my thighs and lungs burning but ultimately giving in to a glorious runners high. very high, in fact. i ate my lunch of rice and beans and promptly fell asleep on a boulder in the middle of the snowy field. the thunder and rain woke me up with the message 'start your descent homegirl!' about a half hour later. here is the exhausted, sleepy me throwing on rain gear, taking a final photo, and starting the joint pounding 10 miles back down.
