variety.

if variety is the spice of life i am currently a habanero sauce with a side of curry.
since the last post i have climbed the sandiest sandstone in utah and the grittiest granite in wyoming. in fisher towers i found myself baking in the sun after a gymnastic rope solo (see below photo) staring out at castleton, smiling with a mouth full of sand. my advice for this area is to place lots of gear and wear ski goggle and a facemask because the hardest part is keeping a the sand that comes off the holds out of your face. as for vedauwoo i advise a full body sticky rubber suit. 'nough said. i have hung out with hillbillies, an old friend from wisconsin, an eclectic denver/russia crew, and now in this nebraska starbucks I share a table with a woman from virginia on a mountain biking roadtrip. we are sharing a table in this gigantic cafe because we are both utilizing the single outlet to charge various electronics and headlamps. from kicking back at a microbrewery in CO to playing a balkan drinking song on the accordion while a bottle of liquor was passed around a gigantic wyoming campfire; i can only think 'i am blessed'!
